Portland Trail Blazers have become the first team in the history of the NBA to notch 20 or more three pointers twice in a season.
They achieved the feat in their 134-104 victory over Charlotte Bobcats on Thursday evening at the Moda Center where they were heavy favourites with Betfair to pick up the win.
Wesley Matthews top scored for the hosts with 26 points. He was successful on five occasions from his six attempts from beyond the three-point line.
Guard Damian Lillard was also clinical from distance as he finished with a 100% record as he was six from six to help the Blazers to record a total of 21 three-pointers.
Portland are now 26-7 for the campaign as they sit top of the Northwest Division and Western Conference. They have only lost on three occasions at the Moda Center.
It was their second win of the week as they came from behind to defeat the Oklahoma City Thunders 98-94.
Betfair make them second favourites in the Northwest Division betting. They are behind the Thunder who are also fancied in the NBA Championship market.
The Bobcats are now on a run of five losses following their latest defeat. On Wednesday, they were also unable to take anything away from their trip to Los Angeles where they were beaten by the Clippers 112-85.
In Portland, Chris Douglas-Roberts came off the bench to score 20 points in his 23:32 minute spell, while center Al Jefferson contributed with 19 points in his side’s loss.
The Trail Blazers are in action next on Sunday when they will host the Philadelphia 76ers. A range of markets will be available on the game with betfair.com.
