Predicting the Champions League Final

While the Round of 16 of the Champions League is still not entirely decided, sports betting fans are eager to find out who will be the two teams that will be facing each other in the most important soccer game of the year at Milan for the UEFA Champions League. Now granted that the way the tournament is structured and that brackets are decided by draws, it will be difficult to fully predict who will be facing in the round of eights. We might be stuck with a potential cracker of a match up in the round of eight or even the semi-finals, but why we still can, we want to give you our exclusive picks of the absolute favorite teams to make it on to the final at Milano.

The absolute and overwhelming favorite to clean house on their League, Cup and UEFA Champions League are Barcelona. Lead by the menacing trio of Messi, Neymar and Suarez the blaugrana side has become a synonym with easy money for sports betting fans. Currently with a comfortable lead on the Spanish La Liga and almost surely moving past Arsenal in the round of 16 of the Champions League, it almost seems like Barcelona are destined to be headed for Milan.

Analyzing the rest of the competitors at the current Champions League, and comparing them to Barcelona, one has a hard time finding a true competitor, a team that could stand in their way and beat them. Whether it is in a home and away definition on the late stages on in just one game at the final. There are several candidates and in the world of soccer, anything can (and could) happen. Bayern Munich is one of the first teams that come to mind, as the German side has been a strong and powerful side that has the talent to be a formidable foe for the Catalan side. Their balance between offense and defense are almost right there with Barcelona, however, recent performances in their domestic end leave a lot of question marks regarding how much of a chance they would have.

As for Manchester City, m88 sport betting fans could fancy them on being able to do some damage and pull an upset, should they face Barcelona. Their offensive prowess could be a good match for Barca’s defense, but their back side could be vulnerable against the best attacking trio in club soccer today (and probably all time). Atletico Madrid are another name that get mentioned and they have an edge of knowing Barcelona better than most of the other possible contenders for the Champions League tittle, but when measuring up both teams, Barcelona is a far more experienced team when it comes to championship stages. Atletico has yet to prove that they could take that step forward.

However the team that could and might be able to spoil Barcelona’s hopes of being back to back champions are non other that their bitter and eternal rivals: Real Madrid. Not only is this the dream final that every soccer fan wants to see at Milan, just imagine sports betting fans loosing their minds at the prospect of wagering on this match.

Yes, Real Madrid has had a tough time recently in the domestic side and have not been as efficient as they are expected to be. But, they are built line per line to be competing and win every tournament they are in. However, La Liga is almost out of reach, the Spanish Cup is no longer obtainable, but the Champions League is there and they are alive and well awaiting rivals in the round of 8. Who knows how a match up in Semi Finals or before could measure up with a home and away dynamic, but should it come to just one game at the final in Milan, Real could enter as underdogs, but not overwhelmingly like the rest of the other teams in competition currently. When it comes to facing Barcelona, the merengue team enters a different mind set entirely, and with Zidane as a head coach he will be able to transmit to his players what he knows about going to El Clasico to win it.

Sports Betting fans will have to wait a bit more to see if we will get a El Clasico on the grandest stage of them all. If we don’t we believe that these two teams are the overall favorites to win the Champion’s League.
