“Benjamin N” Wins the €10,300 PLO Grand Slam Championship

An anonymous player who went by the nickname “Benjamin N” was crowned the Diamond Poker Series €10,300 PLO Grand Slam Champion at Arena Casino Tirana following three days of four card poker.

“Benjamin N” claimed the largest portion of the €1,203,200 prize pool in a four-way deal and would go on to claim the trophy as well as the extra €20,000 which the players had reserved for first place, escalating his total winnings to €219,200.

“It feels amazing to win the trophy,” the player said following victory (h/t Poker News). “I came here for the great guarantees. There are not many 5K and 10K events around out there, so it looked nice.”

He also talked about pot-limit Omaha, and his passion for the game –  “That’s what I play. I love PLO tournaments. It’s just fun. It’s been an amazing venue and an amazing city. I’ll be back.”

It came down to a battle of anonymous players as “Benjamin N” defeated another player nicknamed “Phil Ejri” and “Phil Ejri” took home €166,500 for his showing.
